Noun Definition : -
Noun is the name or description of a person, place, feelings, collection or a thing.
as example :
Ram, Mumbai, Glass, herd, happy etc. and we have five kinds of Noun.
Kinds of Nouns
(1.) PROPER NOUN
(2.) COMMON NOUN
(3.) COLLECTIVE NOUN
(4.) MATERIAL NOUN
(5.) ABSTRACT NOUN
Proper Noun:-
A formal person, place or thing is a name which alludes just to a solitary individual, spot, or thing and there is no regular name for it. In composed English, a formal person, place or thing consistently starts with capital letters.
Proper Noun shows the name of a special or particular person, place or thing.
(1). Mr. Hari is the teacher.
(2) Delhi is the capital of India.
(3) Cut the Apple with knife.
(4) Hotel Taj is in India.
here Mr. Hari, Delhi, Apple, Taj, India are the Proper Nouns example.
Common Noun
Common Noun : -
Common Noun is defined the name of Common person, place or thing means same class or kind.
A typical thing is a name for something which is regular for some things, individual, or spots. It incorporates a specific sort of things, individual, or spots.
as example:-
(1). Radha is a girl and Mohan is a boy.
(2). We live in a big Village.
(3). I read a spy book.
(3.) Collective Noun :-
A collective noun is the name of various people or things taken together and discussed in general. or
word used to represent a group of people, things, or animals.
as Example : -
1. This is my School.
2. A band of Musician.
3. Indian Army is brave.
4. board of directors.
(4.) Material Noun :-
The meaning of a material thing is a language structure term that alludes to a material or substance from which things are made, for example, silver, gold, iron, cotton, jewel and plastic.
A material noun indicates the issue or substance of which things are made.
1. I drink milk.
2. My bangles is make of silver.
3. My mother buy a gold ring for me.
4. Most industries uses iron.
(5.) Abstract Noun :
A theoretical thing is normally the name of a quality, activity or state considered separated from the item to which it has a place.
So Abstract noun is a word for something that can't be seen yet is there. It has no actual presence. For the most part, it alludes to thoughts, characteristics, and conditions.
1. truth
2. lies,
3. happiness
4. sorrow
5. time
6. friendship
NOUNS : NUMBERS:
With the help of numbers, we can understand the counting of things or items or persons.
There are two types of numbers.
1. Singular
2. Plural
NOUNS : GENDER:
1. Masculine Gender
2. Feminine Gender
3. Common Gender
4. Neuter Gender
NOUN : CASE : Function Of Nouns
a. Nominative Case b. Objective Case
c. Possessive Case d. complement of the verb
e. Case in Apposition. f. Nominative of Address
g. Nominative Absolute.
